Borges Douro Estate - Quinta de Soalheira

Quinta da Soalheira, which was bought by the Borges brothers in 1904, is in São João da Pesqueira, in the Cima Corgo subregion. The Torto River splits the estate in half: the crags on the left bank are hidden by dense brush and the vineyards on this 340-hectare property are all located on the right bank.

We produce our best Port and Douro wines from the grapes grown on this estate. On its way down to the Douro, the Torto River splits the estate in two. The craggy hillsides of the left bank are hidden by dense brush. The vineyards all lie along the right bank.
