Borges produces Port Wines whose singular personalities are synonymous with distinction and sector leadership. These are nectars that reflect the dedication and passion of the peoples of Douro who work the land, the vine and the wine. A world of colour palettes, aromas and flavours radiating out from Quinta da Soalheira. Our Port Wines range in style and vintage, currently all the way back to our 1989 vintage.

The finest Port Wines from various years are set aside for the Borges Reserva range. These are then blended to create young, intense, rich and versatile wines. The designation “Reserva” means that the wine is of such a superior quality that it can be called a Reserve.

Borges Ruby Reserve Port

Fruity, fresh and intense profile, with some complexity. A blend with an average age of 5 years.

Grape Varieties | Touriga-Franca, Touriga-Nacional, Tinta-Barroca, Tinto-Cão and Tinta-Roriz.

Appearance | Deep ruby color, almost black.
Aroma | Young aroma, with black fruits such as blackberry. Afresh wine with notes of peppermint and eucalyptus.
Taste | Soft tannins in the mouth endowing it with structure and a young flavor confirming an intense presence of notes of blackberry and the freshness of peppermint. Overall, it is long with a well-balanced acidity.

Borges White Port Reserve

Intense profile, combining freshness with aging. A blend with an average age of 6 years.

Appearance | Golden yellow colour.
Aroma | Intense aromas, with notes of ageing that highlight the presence of honey and cedar resin.
Taste | Very voluminous in the mouth, with a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness, in a finish highlighting the flavours of honey and hazelnuts characteristic of its ageing period.

Borges Tawny Port Reserve

Profile combining some freshness with complex notes of its aging. A blend with an average age of 7 to 8 years.

Appearance | Blondish color, already with an orangey tinge.

Borges 20 Years Old Tawny Port

Fresh and rich profile, with notes of complexity arising from its age. A blend with an average age of 20 years.

Borges 10 Years Old Tawny Port

Fresh and rich profile, with notes of complexity arising from its age. A blend with an average age of 10 years.

Appearance | Light blondish.

Borges Late Bottled Vintage Port

Fruity and intense profile. Wine originating from a single harvest selected for its quality.

Appearance | Strong ruby colour.
Aroma | The nose is intense and young with notes of plum comfit embedded in menthol and eucalyptus fresh aromas, with a finish marked by nuances of cocoa and spices.
Taste | It has a nice volume in the mouth presenting a full-bodied set wrapped in soft tannins with the menthol aroma standing out. It also presents an excellent balance between sweetness and acidity, with a long aftertaste evidencing elegance.

Borges White Port

Fresh fruity profile and partially aged. A blend with an average age of 3 to 4 years.

Borges 1989 Vintage Port

Since 1884, Borges has taken on the challenge of producing exceptional wines. The nobility of this Vintage dates back to 1904, when the founders of Borges acquired Quinta da Soalheira.

Appearance | Intense, dark ruby colour.

Deep ruby ​​colour. The nose is very complex, highlighting red fruits and plums. The notes of spices, dried herbs and cocoa emphasise its noble character. Balanced, velvety and consistent, it has a complex profile that remains in the mouth.

Borges 2003 Vintage Port
